It has been some time since I posted anything. Now, here is something that our regular visitors can contribute. The regular views are good and comments are most welcome.

Talking points:

1. MMTS Phase II

2. Route passes from Hitec City ( Mishra ji !! )

3. Security issues for ladies in the Ladies compartments

4. Extension of MMTS on SC- KZJ mainline upto bibinagar(?)

5. Timings : They may change from July 1, 2008. Any inputs on the current/future timings for the services

More Services from 16/04/08

Today SC Rly Announced 3 more MMTS Servics from April 16th.

Timings of these services are as follows:

* SH - Starts at Sec’bad @ 6.20 PM and reaches Hyd’bad (Nampally) @ 6.50PM

* HL - Starts at Hyd’bad @ 7.15 PM and reaches Lingampally @ 8.00

* LH - Starts at Lingampally @ 8.30 PM and reaches Sec’bad @ 9.15 PM

Hi,

News from RTC. RTC has increased the number of services from 12 to 64.

JNTU to VBIT Bus No 194H

1 bus for every half an hour from JNTU to VBIT.

 

The first bus starts @ 5.40 AM from JNTU and

the last Bus is at 8.00 PM.

 

The first bus starts @ 6.15 AM from VBIT and

the last Bus is at 8.35 PM.

These services are with effect from Monday i.e., 24th March 2008 onwards.

VBIT to Hi-tech City Station

From Morning 8.00 AM to 11.30 AM and Evening 4.00 PM to 7.00 PM for all the connecting trains.

Delays - SC-FM section

As has been reported, there have been regular delays for the past few weeks in this section for MMTS trains.

Upon Enquiry at MXT ( Malakpet ), I found out that pf # 1 in KCG has been rendered unusable due to ongoing sleeper replacement work.

If I were to consider associating a number with the difficulties even as an academic exercise, 3 pfs were in use.. now only 2 pfs. therefore, 33 % outage :P.

The current scenario of delays is expected to continue for another 30 - 40 days. Hopefully, the HYB division can come up with some incredible workaround. A display indicating estimated minimum delay for a delayed local is the first step.

Additional MMTS due to auto strike

Here are the  timings for the extra MMTS services operated  to help commuters inconvenienced due to auto strike in the twin cities. 

Please add the  running times to obtain the timings for other stations.

Ex. Assume that the running time from Lingampalli to Hitec City is 10 minutes.

So, the 8:20 local from LPI will reach Hitec City at 8:30.

7.10 AM / 10.30 AM / 1.20 PM / 4.15 PM / 7.10 PM

Lingampally to Sec’bad:
8.20 AM / 11.20 AM / 2.10 PM / 5.00 PM / 8.25 PM

Sec’bad to Falaknuma:
9.10 AM / 12.10 PM / 2.55 PM / 5.45 PM / 9.15 PM

Falaknuma to Sec’bad:
9.50 AM / 12.50 PM / 3.30 PM / 6.20 PM / 9.55 PM

As per the news, these services are for Tuesday alone, I think.

Buses at Hitec City Station

It has been reported (thanks Abhishek and others on MMTS travellers) that  buses are plying between Hitec City Station and VIT Park. I will update the timings once I get them.

Time Table Handout Format

Any ideas on the template format for such a compact MMTS TT?

I would add the seasonal ticket pricing as well.

Excerpt from Ravi’s email.

A small hand out time table specifying the MMTS train timings in HL route as well as FL routes can be given. Also, the FH route and the DHMU trains in Bolarum to SC can also be given.

good news!!!  the request for  a local on the FM LPI line at 9:37 has been granted. People.. watch out for its punctuality.

I will be operating from NLDA so please please excuse the delay in updates.

The updated timings are subject to verification ;).  The link to  SCR’s interactive time table for MMTS  is yet to be updated( as on 07/07/07 23 Hrs) so watch out!!!
