Sir,
This is to bring to your kind notice the difficulty facing by the public (especially the employees) while commuting to their homes enrooting Nampally – Falaknama, due to the following reason :
As you are aware that with the increasing city traffic employees travel time has considerably increased. I hope you also agree with me that, the bus connectivity from Raj Bhavan Road is not adequate. With the introduction of MMTS, the long distance travel has become shorter. Most of the employees find relief from grueling city traffic by traveling in train and were able to reach home without strain.
I understand, unfortunately there is no train enrouting Nampally – Falaknama after 9:30 am and there are no MMTS trains after 9:30 am from Falaknama – Nampally and as well from Nampally to Falaknama which makes it difficult for the people.
Let me appraise you how much risk the employee (especially the women employee) are taking in catching the Falaknama MMTS train in the evening from Begumpet, which is at 6:18 PM (Lingampally to Falaknama).
There is a lingam ally train at 6:12 pm at Necklece road which is enabling the people to catch the MMTS train at 6:18 pm towards Falaknama (Lingampally – Falaknama). After this train there is one more MMTS train from Lingampally to Falaknama via Begmpet at 7:05 pm.
My question is why there are no MMTS trains from Nampally to Falaknama.
Keeping in view of the above, I take this initiative to request you to kindly consider introduction of MMTS from Nampally to Falaknama at two different times i.e at 6:30 pm and 7:00 pm.
Looking forward for a positive reponse.
Thanks & regards
Usha

Sir,
I travel daily from safilguda to Hitec city and back daily. For this I need to catch 2 trains one from safilguda to secunderabad and the other from secunderabad to Hitech city. This is very convinient to me and many other passengers like me from malkajgiri, safilguda etc except for the following issues
1. There is no link between most of the trains from safilguda and the mmts.
For eg: there is a train in the morning at 8 in safilguda which should ideally reach secunderabad in 12-15 minutes which is hapenning but is unfortunately being stopped due to the inavailability of signal and reaches secunderabad at 8:30 or so by which the 8:25 mmts train is left if the traiin coming from safilguda could be given an early signal it will be really helpful, Similarly there is a train leaving for alwal via safilguda in the evening at 8:10 in the evening but this can be made a connecting train to the mmts train arriving at secunderabad from lingampally at 8:25 thereby providing a train service upto safilguda to passengers like me.
Thanks and regards

Dear members,
I had raised this issue of non availability of direct trains from Bolarum to Lingampally and Nampally to SCR officials. I had even suggested running the Diesel Local train from Bolarum to Secunderabad to Lingampally directly atleast during peak hours. I got this reply from them. I give it for your benefit.
——————————————————–
The issues raised in your letter regarding provision of MMTS service between Manoharabad/Bolarum-Lingampalli/Hyderabad-Bolarum/Manoharabad section or to provide connecting DHMU services especially during the peak hours have been examined and the position is indicated below:
Keeping various streams of traffic in view, and also considering Secunderabad station as a hub for MMTS trains, the timings of MMTS trains presently serving Falaknuma-Kacheguda- Secunderabad – Hydearbad- Lingampalli sections and DHMU service catering to Manoharabad-Medchal- Bolarum- Secunderabad sections were framed.
On electrification of Secunderabad- Bolarum section, it is proposed to extend MMTS train services upto Bolarum.
Until such time, commuters travelling between Bolarum and Lingampalli section by rail, can avail the following connecting services with change over at Secunderabad.
————————-
I shall paste the table soon, as I am facing format problems.

I observed (courtesy : one of the online maps mapmyinda.com) that there is a railway track (probably not electrified) that branches off from the track to sec’bad, just after APIE Road station, and runs thru. BHEL colony, cuts across nizamabad road, chugs along Alwal Road, cuts across Gen.Cariappa Road, cuts across the Sec’bad-Manoharabad route just south of Ammuguda RS and goes down south into Moula Ali
http://www.mapmyindia.com/online/?from=Kompally,%20Hyderabad&to=Kukkatpally,%20Hyderabad&via=&type=best&q=dir
If this track can have stations along its line, the distance between Alwal/Bolarum and Hi-tech City/Lingampalli would be vastly reduced and travelling time beneficially cut down
Is this already in SC Rail’s pipeline ?
If not can this get added to the list please ?

Sir,
Rescheduling push pull trains from Bolarum to Secundrabad to connect Lingampally bound MMTS trains will help in decongesting traffic on the roads since most people from Alwal, R.K.Puram, Safilguda and Malkajgiri would prefer travelling by train to driving on these congested roads.
The same holds good in the return direction also. If the Bolarum bound trains can be rescheduled to accomodate the mmts passengers from lingampalli, railways would have done the passengers a great favour, at the same time reducing traffic on the busy begumpet road.

I agree with Ms.Usha’s letter dt 23-07-2007, it is almost one year, but unfortunately so far there is no train runs from Hyderabad to Falaknuma sector after 10.30 am and at evening time, it is difficult to catch train at begumpet, changing one platform to another platform especially for women and elderly persons at evening time as mentioned by Ms.Usha. Not only regular employees who are travelling by Falaknuma-Hyderabad sector, also people who lives in hyd, somajiguda areas wants to come secunderabad/ kacheguda rly stations to catch the other long distance trains are facing difficulty to chanover at begumpet to catch their trains. Connecting twin cities with mmts train facility is an added advantage to sc rly to show their service. Why SCR has n’t taken any step to improve their services to serve better. Under what basis SCR is not running the return train to Falaknuma from Hyderabad. I request SCR to see this issue and to run a train service from Hyderabad to Falaknuma at evening times, really it will be helpful for daily travellers who travels in Falaknuma-Hyderabad-Falaknuma route and also helpful for who travels in Bolarum-Hyderabad-Bolarum route.
Thanks

I am a daily commuter in MMTS train from James Street to Lingampally. For past many many days, traveling in the ladies compartment in the train which reaches Secunderabad at 6.15 PM, has become horrible because of the ‘Gentle Men’ getting into the compartment
Yesterday, it was literally impossible to stand in the train, and most of the seats had already been occupied by Men, they were not ready to give the seats even if we shouted at them. Because of these, men most of the times it is impossible to get in and get down from the train. I thought, I should do something to eliminate this because, ladies here are silent and most of the times I felt like I lose my life in the crowd.
I request you please give extra care for my following suggestions as early as possible or if you can not do, please forward this mail to the authorized person.
1) Keep 1 or 2 policemen in each ladies compartment and make sure that no men is getting into ladies compartment.
2) Make the ticket checking a regular habit.
3) Make sure that the Men, getting into PHC side is really ‘PHC’.And clearly mention that, if the person is not PHC, the compartment is meant for ladies.
4) The persons who are caught for traveling in Ladies compartment or without ticket have not been punished most of the time. I have noticed many times that, even if TTR finds Man in Ladies compartment, they simply ask them to move into another compartment. And from the next station, the moved out person comes back, because his wife/ Lover is sitting here. Please take penalty from the person who violates law.
5)Please make sure that Families are traveling in General compartment.
Since this gentle men uses their hands and fights inside the compartment, it is really scary, and it is questioning the security of each lady traveling in the Falkanuma- Lingapally MMTS.
Looking forward to see the changes in MMTS.

Sir,
I am an employee travelling between Hafeezpet and Nampally. We are facing very much problem in entering train due to huge rush during office hours, especially for 9.20 AM and 10.04 AM trains. I requsest the authorities to add atleast two more comparments during this peak hours to meet the incresing demand of commuters.

As you are aware that the frequency of the trains from Falaknuma to Hyderabad and Hyderabad to Falaknuma is very less. I request you to kindly increase the frequency in the evenings. This will help many other employees like me to reach there destinations early.

DEAR SIRS,
THIS BELOW MESSAGE WAS SENT BY ONE LADY PASSENGER ON 23/7/2007, MORE THAN ONE YEAR, TILL NOW NO BODY HAS TAKEN INITIATIVE TO HAVE ATLEAST ONE RETURN TRAIN AT EVENING TIMES FROM HYDERABAD TO FALAKNUMA SECTOR FOR “FALAKNUMA – HYD – FALAKNUMA” & “BOLLARUM – HYD – BOLLARUM” TRAVELLERS.
AS PER SOME DISCUSSIONS WITH THE CO PASSENGERS I UNDERSTOOD THAT AT INITIAL STAGES OF MMTS THERE IS NOT MUCH CROWD FOR THIS TRAIN. BUT I HAVE OBSERVED IN LAST ONE YEAR IT HAS BEEN INCREASED A LOT ESPECIALLY WHO WORKS AT AREAS LIKE RAJBHAVAN ROAD / SOMAJIGUDA / KHAIRATABAD / LAKDIKAPUL, THEY NEED THIS HYD – FALAKNUMA TRAIN BADLY BECOZ AT EVENING TIMES EITHER THEY HAVE TO DEPEND ON BUSES WHICH IS MOST DIFFICULT TO GET BUSES AT EVENING TIME IN THAT ROUTE OR THEY HAVE TO COME TO BEGUMPET AND CATCH LINGAMPALLY – FALAKNUMA TRAIN.
I REQUEST YOU TO TAKE THIS ISSUE TO SCR OFFICIALS TO CONSIDER THIS ISSUE ON BEHALF OF HYD PASSENGERS, REQUEST THEM TO CONDUCT PUBLIC SURVEY AND MAKE ENQUIRY AND OPERATE ATLEAST ONE SERVICE DIRECTLY FROM HYDERABAD TO FALAKNUMA AT EVENING TIMES.
THANKS & BEST REGARDS

Very poor link is maintained between MIrzappally-Secbad Local train and 8.27 am MMTS train despite of frequent appeal. Please either introduce direct trains from Medchal-Lingampally during office hours or atleast ensure proper link such that more priority is given to Medchal-SecBad trains during signalling issues, so that link is not missed. Often, we see that MMTS train is given higher priority and the Medchal based train is made to stop near RailNilayam signal till MMTS towards Lingampally departs from SecBad as a result of which atleast 4 days a week, we are bound to miss the MMTS link and are forced to wait for 1 hour 15 Minutes for the next train MMTS train which is available only at 9.37 am. I sincerely appeal once again to the Railway Authorities to consider commuters deep incovenience faced due to the authority’s negligence and act accordingly to facilitate smooth link between both the trains especially during the morning hours. I heartfully thank Railway authorities for extending the Bolarum-SecBad train timings from 18.10 PM to 18.15 PM due to which the certainity of link between both the trains is almost ascertained. Similarly kindly consider link during morning hours which is even more important.

I have few suggestions to the MMTS service… we are aware that currently MMTS dont have sufficient trains/coaches to accomodate the raise in the no of commuters.
1) why can’t you use Begumpet as connecting station for the Hyderabad/Falaknuma places. i.e. always provide some direct trains to HyderabadLingampally, but cover Falaknama fully.
Assume that you have 10 trains, in that make 8 trains as Lingampally to Falaknuma and remaining as Begumpet to Hyderabad, and in between you can make some trains as direct to Hyderabad to Lingampally, so that we get more frequency. If you get more freq you definitely can stop illegal passengers traveling in 1st classes
2)Please change the ticket issuing machines(the DOT matrix printing), it takes lot of time to print …. very odd method … if you go by other sealed printing machine like the ones we are having chennai local train ticket counters
Please reply me, or correct me if i am wrong.
Thanks,
Arul

This is to bring to notice of the authorities the problems faced in the ladies compartment in the 1850 evening train from Hafizpet to Falaknuma when a huge number of the so called ‘Gentlemen’ get into the train and eventry to block the way at the entrances when ladies from Hi-tech push through to get inside.
Inspite of regular ‘ticket-checking’ people getting into the train, they are not of any help in making these guys get down from the compartment. It would be appreciated if there could be more rigorous checking at such peak hours of crowd in the train at least. Otherwise, it just makes the whole concept of ‘Ladies Compartment’ completely useless!!!!
Thank you.

A sincere suggestion –> We want Balwinder singh to board the 1855 train from Hi-tech city to Falaknuma daily and carry on the ticket checking. He is very efficient with the work and we need people like him to handle commuters who cause inconvenience to First class ticket holders.
Hence its a sincere request to please deploy him for the evening train daily.
December 8, 2008 at 1:32 pm |
we are facing a lot of issues in 1855 MMTS from Hitec city to Falaknuma. There are lot of Men getting into ladies compartment and creating a problem for us. The only solution is to deploy a good TC to handle commuters who cause inconvenience to ladies compartment as well as first class compartment. I sincerly request you to deploy Mr Balwinder Singh in the 18:55 MMTS train from Hitec city to Falaknum. He knows his job very well and can handle the commuters properly.

This is to bring to notice of the authorities, about the problems faced in the first class compartment of 1855 MMTS from Hitec city station to Malakpet falaknuma. commuters having general class tickets gets into first class, due to which we face number of problems. I recomd you to deploy Mr Balwinder singh, who knows his job very well, and can handle such people very easily. i hope The authorties will do the needful.

MMTS
Dear Sir,
The road in continuation of the Hyderabad Public school towards the fly over bridge along the varun motors will be leading directly to the Begumpet post office. The Begumpet railway station is at the greatest disadvantage of visibility and direct road. If the post offfice can be removed the the road directly will lead to the railway station and will increase the commuters rate with the easy apporachability and visibility. You may negotiate with the Indian Postal department and come to an agreement for the shift of the post office in the areas of the railway property . Any suitable agreement will greatly benefit the public in general and you may also negotiate with the APSRTC to arrange for the buses to all important places in Hyderabad from the Begumpet railway station . The Indian postal department will not be at any loss since a suitable area may be alloted to them from the railway property from the parking areas of the vehicles or any other areas which they choose.
This will greatly benefit the public and expose the Begumpet railway station to the public for a better utilisation of the station for the MMTS and also for the regular commuters of South Central Railway.

Hi
This is to acknowledge the effort being put by the authorities now for carrying out checks in the train both in the morning and evenings. We would like to thank you for looking into the complaints and responding accordingly.
It would be apprecited if this becomes a regular practice especially in the evening peak-time trains and mmts is made convenient for all commuters.
Thank you.

I am daily commuter from Chandanagar to Secunderabadin MMTS.But the Parking fee at Chandanagar railway station is very high,They are charging 8 rupees against 6 rupees in other stations. The railway authorities should look into this and should reduce burdon on the passengers.
